Sharing their own beach overlooking the Florida Bay, Pierre's Restaurant and Morada Bay Beach Cafe both offer a spectacular location for shooting films, movies, television commercials, music videos, print advertising, and fashion catalogs. Located on the bay side of the Florida Keys, the setting is known for its brilliant sunsets, white sand beach, bent and majestic palms, and inviting Adirondack chairs.
A magnificent, two-story plantation-style house is home to both Pierre's Restaurant (upstairs) and The Green Flash Lounge (on the main floor). Sparkling white with blue shutters and an outside veranda, the building overlooks the sandy beach, blue bay waters, and stunning sunsets.
The restaurant is accessed by a dramatic, hand-carved curved staircase which leads to the dining room. Moroccan, Indian, and African tapestries, wall carvings, and artifacts, carved walls, and banquettes strewn with colorful pillows create a romantic setting.
Accented by dark woods and featuring a dramatic mahogany bar, the lounge features heavy leather chesterfield sofas, comfortable beige banquettes and rattan chairs. Decorated with images of old sailing vessels and fishing victories, the lounge captures the atmosphere of yachting and boating clubs in days gone by.
An outdoor Mediterranean bistro café set in the sand, Morada Bay Beach Café offers both inside and outside bars and eating areas, spectacular sunsets and a large open beach with giant Adirondack chairs and glorious views of the water.
The Moorings Village has also become a favored location for shooting films, movies, television commercials, music videos, print advertising, and fashion catalogs. Its lush tropical environment offers a diverse range of backgrounds. The private beach has 1,100 feet of white sand, with leaning palm trees and native forested hammocks. The cottages have French doors that open to large picturesque porches with brightly colored shutters that view the blue/green waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
